Hurrah! My first game of the year completed, and the first since the birth of my daughter. It seems fatherhood and gaming can co-exist after all! Some of the final puzzles were very hard, but I’m pleased I managed to complete all of them (well, the 113 of the 120 I found) without losing any Picorats or spending any Hint Coins. Professor Layton and Pandora’s Box (DS)

Aaaaaaall done. And I mean done. All the puzzles in the story, all the extra stuff like the tea set and hamster thing, all the bonus puzzles, and all 33 of the weekly puzzles. And the Curious Village Bonus done too. DONE. ALL. DONE. Everything. I will point out this: I hate slidey shape block “escape” puzzles. Grr! And variations on Solitaire. They can sod off too. If the next game has lots of either I might get stabby.

For four years now, I’ve kept a diary detailing the games I play. Part of the reason was to see how many games I buy (and to reduce this number), and how many I complete (and to increase this number). 2008 saw a drop in completed games – 33 compared to 61 in 2007.
